Another win-win project. I love the arts, AND I love Halloween. Not sure which I like better.
I designed the graphics system (print and logo) and wrote supporting copy for a benefit for the May Festival (the oldest choral festival in the USA). The event was held at Cincinnati's Music Hall where the May Festival performs, and it indeed is on Elm Street.
GOALS for this project:
- Leave NO doubt that you are expected to dress up
- Give the impression that this and elegant event, not your kid's sort of party
- Give the impression that is will be FUN as well as a bit sexy
I hadn't used fluorescent pantone inks in ages, so I used a 3-color system: Black with glowing purple and green, on matte coated paper (so the ink had a distinctive sheen to it).
The invitation also was used not folded as a poster. The large image to the leff is it opened, and below are the stages of being folded into quarters.
Great party, good attendance, and everyone went ALL-OUT re dressing up.
