Problem: how to make a calendar for teachers to promote teacher development that they will actually use, and keep for a reference?
My solution was not to put anything on it that suggested school. It worked!
Ending up very popular and a success in promoting library event attendance, these quarterly posters had a seasonal "hook" that I took advantage of when selecting the imagery.
LEARN was always prominent on each poster, and various seminar titles were floated about on the photo, here and there — more for the purpose of decoration — but still legible and a surprise to read.
